Digital denture replication and refinement
If you already have a denture that you like, digital scanning can preserve valuable information from that denture without requiring you to leave it at the office simply so it can be copied. The existing denture can be scanned and used as a digital reference for a replacement. When appropriate, Dr. Souferian can also refine aspects of the fit, function, or appearance rather than simply reproducing every feature of the old denture. The number of appointments depends on the individual case. Digital replication does not mean every denture can or should be completed in one visit.
Digital night guards
A digital scan can create a detailed record of the teeth and bite without a traditional impression in many cases. That digital information can then be used to help design a custom night guard for clenching or grinding. The appliance is selected and adjusted based on the patient’s bite, teeth, restorations, and clinical needs—not simply because it is digitally manufactured.
